Welcome to the blog site for Aluminum Fences Direct. We know that there are quite a few aluminum fence companies out there on the internet. Some sell Chinese imports and sell them for what they are... usually un-assembled at a lower price. Some though, claim their product as being made in the USA when in fact are imported Chinese aluminum extrusions and then assembled in New Jersey or Chicago which is how they can claim it as being made in the USA. The problem with that is that the aluminum extrusions are powder coated abroad using less than clean sanitary methods of prepping the aluminum before it's powder coated. That's the most important step so that the powder coating can properly adhere to the aluminum. If the proper steps towards cleaning the aluminum doesn't happen, chipping, pealing, flaking and cracking are inevitable. At Aluminum Fences Direct, even though we're located in New Jersey, our manufacturer is located in North Carolina and ONLY uses American aluminum extrusions and then powder coats those extrusions using only the cleanest of water and chemicals.
